Plant Medicine Restorative Yoga
These classes will take place online via ZOOM. Register online to receive your ZOOM link.
Plant Medicine Restorative Yoga is a practice in embodied gentleness that is rooted in plant spirit connection.
The flow is simple; we begin with a plant meditation (options include cannabis, chamomile, kava, cacao, skullcap, or any other plant of your choice) followed by exploring 7 poses, holding each for approximately 10 minutes. Between each pose is plenty of space for observation, intuitive movement and (re)connection to the spirit of the plant.

Decolonizing Yoga: A Deeper Look into Avidya and The 5 Kleshas
This 6 week series will be held online via ZOOM. Register online to receive your ZOOM link.
This series is available at no extra cost to Laughing River Yoga COSMIC members.
As a part of Laughing River Yoga's School of Yoga, we are focusing on liberation through self knowledge; understanding the kleshas is fundamental to inner work. What are the kleshas? There are 5; asmita (ego), raga (attachment), dvesa (refusal), abhinivesa (fear) and avidya (ignorance). Each of these kleshas are considered to be the root causes to all suffering and the obstacle to yoga. In these series, join Candace as we begin to investigate how each of these kleshas show up in our respective lives.
Getting clearer on how the kleshas inform our own patterns of behavior and thought frees us from its grips and empowers us to live our yoga as whole liberated beings. Each week we will center one of the 5 kleshas, classes are 90 minutes long and will integrate embodied reflection, lecture and group discussion.

Embodied Altar Virtual Retreat
E m b o d i e d * A l t a r is a 2-part virtual evening retreat with me. We will be exploring the body as a portal for sacred connection to the divine, our ancestors and to the elements & rhythms of nature.

Candace is a 500 hour certified teacher that combines their studies and experience as a student/practitioner of yoga and in the field of social justice and anti-oppression to offer an essential lens to the world of wellness. Candace has taught in numerous yoga teacher trainings, offers 1:1 mentorships and has worked with studio owners and teacher training creators to specifically focus on oppression in the field of wellness, of which yoga is apart. Candace weaves together anti-oppression scholarship with yogic philosophy to dig into decolonizing yoga, cultural appropriation, spiritual bypassing and much more.
You can find Candace as a core faculty on Laughing River Yoga's 200 hr yoga teacher training program as well as a mentor in the 300 hr yoga teacher training program. Candace is also a faculty on Evolution Yoga's yoga teacher training program.
